The African iGaming suite

The engagement infrastructure for gaming operators in Africa.

ALATARA brings into a single system what a betting operator runs today across seven separate tools: player data, engagement, payments and compliance. Built for the realities of the African market — not translated from another one.

The problem

An operator who does not know its players pays three times

The same three fractures show up at every operator, whatever their size.

01

It does not know who plays

Bets come in, money moves — but the player stays an identifier. No profile, no rhythm, no known value.

02

It speaks to everyone the same way

The same message goes to the occasional punter and to the player who carries the revenue. One is annoyed; the other feels unrecognised.

03

It finds out about churn far too late

The drop-off only shows months later, in a curve. By then the player is already with a competitor.

Today’s dead end

Imported platforms do not hold up in Africa

Designed for other markets, they arrive with the wrong instincts — and the operator spends its time compensating for what they never planned for.

  • Built for email. The continent’s channel is WhatsApp, then SMS. A platform that thinks email first is talking to no one.
  • Built for the bank card. Mobile Money is treated as an exception to plug in, never as the primary payment method — and reconciling the gaps is left to the operator.
  • Blind to the human network. Acquisition runs through agents and points of sale. A tool that can only measure the web misses most of the ground.
  • Monolingual, or half translated. Four languages coexist across the continent, including Arabic and its right-to-left reading. An interface translated as an afterthought shows immediately.

The answer

Four pillars, one continuous chain

Each pillar feeds the next. It is that continuity — not the features taken one by one — that produces the result.

01

See

Get the data in without launching an IT project: auto-adaptive import of a back-office export, a connector, or a file drop. A sandbox to try things without ever touching production.

02

Understand

The playing profile is derived from actual play — favourite sports, staking rhythm, bonus sensitivity. Churn-risk and expected-value scores, segments that recompute on their own.

03

Act

Campaigns and journeys over WhatsApp, SMS, email and push. Bonuses, gamification, A/B tests, VIP programme — and a screen that says what to do today, in order.

04

Stay in control

Mobile Money reconciled gap by gap, compliance enforced rather than displayed, affiliation and agent network measured, reports sent without manual extraction.

The platform

What an operator runs from a single place

A complete back-office, translated into four languages, where each module answers a question management actually asks.

360° player view

The screen the VIP manager, support and compliance open first: play, payments, messages and regulatory file in one place.

Omnichannel engagement

WhatsApp, SMS, email, push and on-site messages. The operator describes an intent; the platform executes continuously.

Native African payments

Mobile Money and card in a single integration, with settlement reconciliation and gap detection, operator by operator.

Compliance enforced

Orchestrated KYC, self-exclusion, cooling-off periods, deposit and time limits. A protected player is removed from every solicitation, automatically.

Real-time triggers

An abandoned deposit, a withdrawal left sitting, a session going wrong: the reaction leaves the moment the fact happens, not the next day.

Analytics and warehouse

Funnels, cohorts, revenue attribution — and the export of your data into your own tool, without going through us.

White-label multi-tenancy

Each operator gets an isolated space: its brand, its languages, its currencies, its database. Opened with one command.

Affiliation and agent network

Introducers, agents and points of sale tracked on the facts received: volume, quality of the players brought in, activity per counter.

Data coverage

One screen answers, section by section, “what do my data actually make possible?” — and says how to deliver what is missing.

The differentiator

African by design, not by translation

None of these decisions is bolted on afterwards: they sit in the foundation of the product.

  • Native Mobile Money. Treated as the primary payment method, all the way to reconciling the gaps — not as an exception plugged in later.
  • WhatsApp as the primary channel. Where the conversation actually happens, with strict respect for the reply window the platform imposes.
  • Four languages, including Arabic. French, English, Portuguese and Arabic — with an interface genuinely flipped for right-to-left reading.
  • The continent’s real numbering. Phone formats country by country, without which a message goes to an address that does not exist.
  • The human network counted. Agents, points of sale and introducers enter the same model as the web, because that is how acquisition happens.

Trust

Security and governance: the deciding subject

A head of operations does not sign on features. They sign on the trust they can place in the system.

  • Isolation per operator. Each space has its own database. A query cannot cross an operator’s boundary, even through a programming mistake.
  • Sensitive data encrypted. Players’ personal information is encrypted at rest, with search still possible without ever exposing it in clear.
  • Segregated roles. Profiles that match real jobs: management, CRM, analytics, VIP, support, compliance, finance.
  • Full traceability. Every administrative action is logged — who, what, when — including refused attempts.
  • Reversibility. Your data belongs to you and exports to your own warehouse, at any time.

The principle: an operator must be able to open ALATARA to its regulator with nothing to prepare — and leave whenever it decides, with its data exportable to its own warehouse.

Adoption

From signature to the first campaign

The barrier to entry is the market’s real brake. That is where ALATARA stands out most.

01

The connection

A connection pack, an integration contract served by the platform itself, and a sandbox. Nothing to write on the operator’s side to begin.

02

The data comes in

A back-office export as it is, a connector, or a file drop. What is refused is refused with a readable reason, never in silence.

03

Coverage is measured

The platform states what your data already make possible, what they do not yet, and how to deliver what is missing.

04

The first campaign goes out

One segment, one message, one channel — and the measure of what it actually produced.

And nothing comes in silently: what the platform refuses to ingest, it refuses with a readable reason. A figure that cannot be established is never shown as zero.

Let’s talk

Let’s see what your data already make possible

The demonstration starts from your back-office export, exactly as it comes out today. In one session you know what the platform can already do with your data — and what is missing.
